Comments: "I built this car back in the early '80s. The top was chopped six inches, door handles shaved, custom velvet interior, lowered to the ground. The whole car was only 36 inches from the ground to the top of the roof! It had a nice custom paint job (candy yellow, red, purple, orange, and blue!) And I even cut out the word Plymouth in the back panel below the trunk for tailights! It also had Corvette scoops in the quarter panels. This car is one of a kind! Most people didn't know what it was!"

Comments: "Car was sold to a guy who worked in parts department of a Chrysler-Plymouth Dealer (DARCARS) in Maryland. He said he also had a Dodge Dart GTS that he was restoring, It would be great to know what happened to the car. I bought it in 1983 in bad shape and helped save it from the junk yard. It might not be around today if I hadn't invested so much money into it and not given up. I have some photos of it while I had it in the 80's.

I spoke with a previous owner of the car, who owned it in the '70s. He lived in Pennnsylania and sold it to a dealer, who sold it to me and my dad. The Maryland license plates it had in the '80s were "GXP 749." Maryland DMV was no help.

I would like to know what happened to the car, maybe take some pics. If it comes up for sale let me know!"

Comments: "My father, John Wayne, sold the car to his friend Ray of South Dayton, NY, who in turn, sold it to a doctor in Ohio. The car is a 1964 Plymouth Savoy Max Wedge clone, red-on-red. It is a 440 with Stage III Max Wedge heads and intake. It had a radio delete when the car was sold. There were no windshield wipers, push-button automatic, trunk mouted battery. My mother paited "Max Wedge" on the caps of the lake pipes on both sides of the car. I do have pictures of the car. The reason why I am looking for it is I grew up in the car and one year after he (his father? - Ed.)sold the car, he died (1991) in an accident at work. Please help."
